Terms of Service

By using Helpfill ("Helpfill," "we," "our," or "the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to create an account or perform services through Helpfill. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are legally permitted to work in your jurisdiction and that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and truthful.

2. What Helpfill Is (and Isn't)

Helpfill is an on-demand digital marketplace that connects clients with independent service providers for small-to-medium, time-sensitive tasks. Helpfill does not perform services and is not a party to any agreement between clients and providers.

Jobs posted on Helpfill are intended for work that can be accepted quickly and completed without the need for licensed contractors, permits, inspections, or professional supervision. Clients are solely responsible for determining whether a job is appropriate for the platform or whether a licensed contractor is required. Structural work, major renovations, electrical upgrades, or home additions generally require licensed professionals and should not be posted on Helpfill.

Payment is required at the time a job is posted. Once a provider accepts a job, the provider is expected to arrive at the client's address within one (1) hour and must use the in-app Start Job feature to begin work. Upon completion, providers must submit photographic proof of completion. Clients must approve or dispute the work before payment is released.

3. Payments & Fees

Clients agree to pay the total amount displayed at checkout, including any applicable service or platform fees. Providers authorize Helpfill to collect payment on their behalf and deduct applicable platform, service, or processing fees before issuing payouts. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

4. Cancellations, Disputes & Refunds

Clients may cancel a job before acceptance without penalty. Once a job is accepted or a provider begins traveling, cancellation fees may apply. Refunds, if any, are determined on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

5. Provider Responsibilities

Providers are independent contractors and are solely responsible for the quality, safety, legality, and execution of their work. Providers must accurately represent their skills, comply with all applicable laws, and perform services in a professional manner.

6. Safety & Conduct

Users agree not to engage in illegal, dangerous, abusive, or fraudulent conduct. Helpfill may investigate safety concerns and take appropriate action, including suspension or removal.

7. Account Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activity conducted under their account.

8. Reviews & Ratings

Reviews reflect genuine user experiences and help build provider reputation, character, and community trust. Clients are strongly encouraged to leave honest reviews. Helpfill may remove reviews that violate platform policies.

9. Limited Liability

Helpfill makes no guarantees regarding service quality, safety, legality, or suitability. While Helpfill may take reasonable steps to promote trustworthy users, it does not guarantee licensure, insurance, or performance.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helpfill's total liability is limited to amounts paid to or by the user in the thirty (30) days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Suspension & Removal

Helpfill may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, repeated misconduct, or legal non-compliance.

11. Changes to the Service

Helpfill may modify the platform or these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
